Bilateral ptosis with ophthalmoplegia externa in paediatric onset multiple sclerosis: A case report

چکیده

Paediatric onset multiple sclerosis (POMS) patients usually present with a diminution of vision pertaining to optic neuritis and experience more aggressive disease disabling clinical symptoms, polyfocal presentation at onset, higher relapse rate early in the course. We are reporting unique bilateral ptosis external ophthalmoplegia patient 17-year-old female who came chief complaint drooping lids both eyes for 3 years. Complete ophthalmic systemic examination was done. Patient diagnosed as MS according revised Mcdonald criteria given Methylprednisolone Pulse therapy. concluded that acquired externa should be special attention rule out associations. Timely diagnosis management pediatric age group DMT may reduce frequency functional disability.
